I hope everyone was able to enjoy our snow day on Friday. Remember to check the local news stations or www.tpaak.org to see if school has been canceled. If Poudre School District has been canceled, so has our school. Usually T.R. Paul Academy is listed too with the cancellations.
Valentine's Party: We will be having our classroom party next Tuesday on February 14th. The party will start at about 10:15 and go to 11ish. Please have your child fill out 24 valentines to hand out in class. To help make the process of handing out valentines super easy, just have your child fill out their name in the "from" section and leave the "to" part blank. We are making Valentine's bags this week for our party! I will have a sign-up sheet for snacks to bring, feel free to look it over and if you can bring anything in that would be wonderful. Parents are always welcome to our classroom parties, whether you would like to help out with an activity or just hang out.
Book Buddies: For a good part of the year we have been meeting once a week with the 7th grade class for book buddy time. Both classes enjoy this very much and are having so much fun. We try to keep to the same book buddies every week to have steady partners. We do different things with our book buddies. Sometimes we enjoy getting read to and other times we do fun projects. In the past we have made candy "graveyards" for Halloween, hand turkeys, and did a cool written project on Martin Luther King Jr. This week when we meet we will be working together to make valentines for a family member or friend.

-Art: Valentine's Day bags and treasure maps (X marks the spot!)
-Large Motor/Dramatic Play: School- the kids are loving this one! One students gets to pretend to be the teacher with our easel chalkboard, while the others are students. It is so fun to watch
