January 7-11, 2013

Welcome back to school! We are so excited to have our class back. This week we will be starting our January curriculum and getting back into the swing of things.

We have a doorbell outside the classroom that is white with a red button. Please ring the bell for a teacher to let you in, we can hear that better than knocking, thank you!

When coming around the building to be let into the north door please knock on the preschool windows. The PreK room does not have a button to buzz you in.

It has come to my attention that there is some confusion regarding academic learning and I wanted to clarify. We start acadmics at 9:00 in the morning and continue learning up until lunch time. In the morning we have teacher directed learning and also learning through play in centers. We are not only getting your child ready for Kindergarten academically, but we are also getting him/her ready socially. We also work on problem-solving, fine motor and large motor skills. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's education please talk with Ms. Scheffer or Mrs. K.
